Everyday Health: When did you first start noticing signs of acne?
Cody: When I was 15 and 16, I had occasional pimples. But at 17 I was having a tough time with my skin, including breakouts. At first I thought it was just a phase and the problem would go away, but the breakouts sometimes got bad. I wasn't as confident on camera.
Dr. Wu: Eighty percent of teens and young adults develop some form of acne between the ages of 12 and 24, ranging from a few blackheads to full-blown cystic scarring.
